Aug 2025 Update -- Website Creation

I built jaysehughes.com from scratch using Notepad++. My goal was to create a clean, fast, and fully custom website without relying on templates or drag-and-drop tools.

Beyond being a personal website, this project was designed to showcase my technical and design skills while providing a simple way for people to connect with me.

The site includes custom CSS animations for the background and navigation menu, along with a responsive layout that adapts to different screen sizes. It’s hosted on a custom Debian server running Apache2.

Oct 2025 Update -- Project Page Update

I moved the projects page to its own subsite, allowing me to give it a different layout and feel without changing the main site’s design. The new version is styled more like a development blog, featuring updates and progress on my projects rather than information about me.
